Sundays at First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church is a relaxed, homey, come-as-you-are, blended, multi-generational, Christ-centered church dedicated to "Loving God and Loving Port Townsend."

If you're visiting us for the first time, we look forward to seeing you and hope that the information on this page will help answer any initial questions you may have about FBC.

GENERAL INFORMATION

What time does Sunday worship begin?
The worship service begins at 9:30, followed by Sunday School at 11 am.

What should I wear?
Come as you are! Sunday morning dress runs from casual to coat and tie.

Where is the church?
The church is located in uptown Port Townsend at 1202 Lawrence Street. Plenty of street parking is available near the church.

What will my children do?
We love to have children in our worship services, but if parents prefer, we have Nursery Care provided for little ones from birth to Kindergarten.

What style of worship music do you sing?
We sing old hymns and spiritual songs, and we sing modern praise music.

What can I expect?
Our typical service includes scripture reading, some traditional hymns, the offering received, a time of greeting, a biblically-focused message that runs 30 minutes, followed by some praise songs and then sharing of words of praise or prayer concerns.

Sunday school classes for kids and teens follow the service at 11 am, and adults are invited to the Fellowship Hall for coffee and open discussion of the message.
